At Olympus, we help make people’s lives healthier, safer and more fulfilling, every day. *Let’s inspire healthier lives, together. * Job Description The Director, Supply Chain Strategy and Center of Excellence is a dynamic thought leader with strategic experience who will successfully lead the Olympus Strategy and Center of Excellence organization. They manage and oversee development and implementation of new initiatives, manage cost drivers and creation & performance of budgets, improvement of internal business controls, processes and daily operations. They develop strategies for best practices within Supply Chain Management. The successful candidate will maintain a strong customer focus, help develop strategies and monitor progress against implemented strategies and objectives. The incumbent manages continuing improvement initiatives and ensures compliance with Olympus policies and practices. Job Duties SC Center of Excellence focus on three domains: 1, Strategy, Process Improvement and Data and Technology * Strategy: Define long-term (3y+) E2E Supply chain strategy and roadmap * Innovation: Identify SC innovations through e.g., external market scan, define high-level roadmap towards major SC innovations closely aligned to overall strategy * Risk Management: Define strategies to proactively mitigate risks and sustainably increase SC resilience * Performance Management: Set up a robust SC performance management, incl. KPIs, targets and performance dialogues and develop reports for all functions and regions * Process Improvement: Define and enforce SC best-practices and global process standards, provide dedicated SC expertise to support larger SC projects, e.g., specific resources staffed on projects * Master data management (MDM): Define MDM standards and set-up a governance structure to enable high data quality across SC, act as master data steward (e.g. gate-keeping) * SC IT Management: Define SC IT and data strategy and act as translator between functional needs and IT developments Leader of the regional SCM Center of Excellence organization as part of the global Supply Chain Leadership Team * Develop and implement regional Supply Chain strategy and roadmap based on strong alignment with global functional leader * Orchestrate regional process innovation with strong focus on reliability & costs * Focus on sufficient outside in-view/ benchmarking/ process improvement together with Supply Chain leaders for Planning and Distribution Job Requirements *REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:* * Bachelor’s degree, Military Experience, or equivalent and Operations Management experience are required * A minimum of 5 years’ Supervisor/Manager experience in an Operations role * Ability to travel as requried *PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:* * Superior Supervisory management skills * Strong Business Acumen * Customer Centric * High standard of professional conduct and integrity * Strong technological literacy including proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Access. * High degree of professionalism. * Excellent verbal/written communication skills detail oriented and ability to prioritize * Demonstrated leadership skills * Ability to provide constructive feedback and coaching * Cooperate and participate as an effective team member in creating a positive working environment *We realize work isn’t just a job to you.*It’s a big part of your life, but not the only part.
