Sr. Manager Digital Operations

Job Overview:The Sr. Manager of Digital Operations is responsible for the institutionalization of Covance’s Decentralized Trial Platform (DCT) into the delivery teams. The Digital Operation departments role is accountable to work across organizations delivery teams to educate, consult, influence and provide the appropriate guidance and framework to make DCT “the way we do business” and part of our delivery fabric.The AD/Sr. Manager of Digital Operations will partner with their delivery counterparts to evaluate modifications in RACIs/SOPs and identify tactical as well as strategic opportunities to further optimize delivery models. This individual will also be working closely with the DCT Product and Strategy teams to help with Roadmap activities and to have awareness and visibility on future transformations with our DCT Platform.This role will be both strategic and tactical with a heightened awareness to develop process maps, manage projects, hold cross functional governance meetings and ensure delivery teams are consulted and supported with the appropriate level of detail in their day to day activities.The role will also have responsibility for blending technology-enabled delivery and the optimized business processes to maximize value to patients, investigators and customers. This role may also develop new offerings to be integrated into the DCT environment, and lead the creation of all relevant materials to support operationalization of those offerings.Education/Qualifications:* Bachelor’s degree in a health care or other scientific discipline or educational equivalent; Master’s degree or other advanced training in scientific or a healthcare field preferred but not required* 8+ years of clinical trials experience including >3 years in a study team leadership capacity.* Excellent domain knowledge across Startup, Data Management, Project Management and Clinical Operations* Experience in eConsent, eCOA preferred but not required* Patient centric and results-oriented working with tenacity to advance projects and deliver on pre-determined milestone* Highly intelligent and detail-oriented with an ability to think strategically and operationally on a wide range of issues in a solutions-oriented manner* High tolerance for ambiguity and excellent clinical development judgement. Must be able to drive and influence decision making in a rapidly changing business context.* Must have a results-oriented work ethic and a positive, can-do attitude. Must be willing and able to be “hands on” and willing to “roll-up sleeves” and delve into detailsExperience:* Demonstrated ability to establish relationships with internal colleagues and external collaborators (e.g., investigators, KOL’s, vendor partners) and represent the company in public (e.g., scientific conferences, partners).* Demonstrated ability in decision-making, influencing, leadership, and affecting change by using a collaborative approach* Influence without authority skills: Educate and influence stakeholders to adopt DCT model and to add value to strategic business planning and decision-making* Must be science and data-driven* Professional attitude, maturity, confidence, and credibility to advise and influence senior management* Experience working and delivering in a cross-functional team and supporting new product development. Ability to act as a credible consultant: lead and coach without clear decision making authority.* Customer-service mentality and behavior in managing deliverables and relationships. Strong knowledge of process development and optimization* Strong business acumen.* Ability to work in a collaborative culture where the best ideas win regardless of their origin.* Persuasive, humble, inclusive, and resilient with a strong sense of urgency and entrepreneurial attitude.
