Service Center Supervisor – Manteca, CA

Job Summary:

As Service Center Supervisor you will support the Service Center Manager in all aspects of Service Center Operations in our Northern California facility. Our front-line Supervisors are responsible for operating an efficient, productive and safe department, while meeting or exceeding daily production requirements. This includes managing a group of core responsibilities, while ensuring that quality and service are at a high level. You will also be responsible for maintaining a productive, positive, and motivated work force by spending a minimum of 90% of the total shift “on the floor” directing associates.

Major Areas of Responsibilities:

  • Manages day to day activity which includes inbound trailer unloading, pallet building, pallet staging and outbound loading
  • Maintains company culture
  • Builds effective relationships and interacts with Store Operations, Peers, Management, Human Resources, Loss Prevention, Transportation, Outbound Planning and Carriers.
  • Effectively communicates with associates, counterparts, peers, and management to provide for a more efficient operation.
  • Ensures that Service Center meets/exceeds Safety and Housekeeping standards.
  • Identifies process improvement opportunities and makes recommendations to improve.
  • Executes volume and productivity plans
  • Delivers operational performance against established KPI standards
  • Ensures SOPs / Best Practices are executed at standard or better
  • Develops and motivates associates and ensures morale is at a high level

Minimum Requirements to be Successful:

  • Minimum 2-4 years of experience in Warehouse/Distribution Center Operations
  • High School Graduate; Bachelor’s Degree preferred or equivalent work experience
  • Experience leading/managing teams of 20+ associates
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Coaching and development skills
  • Ability to motivate teams and manage conflict
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Available to support multiple shifts, extended hours and weekends as needed
