This is a Full-time position in Lancaster, PA posted November 28, 2019.

PRP HSE Director This position will have divisional (global) responsibilities for guiding our processes and practices for operations outside the USA, and a working manager role for the USA operations.

Reporting structure is yet to be finalized, and will likely depend on the candidate.

It may be a direct report to our president (managing director), and it could be a direct report to VP Operations with a dotted line to the MD.

Either way, this role will be be very engaged with all the senior leadership within our organization.

Fenner Precision Polymers is a B2B manufacturer of a large and diverse portfolio of products focused on polymeric, metal, and textile based industrial solutions that add recognized value to motion control, power transfer, and related applications.

Michelin is our parent company as of May 2018.

We are part of a new division focused on high tech materials, with a mandate to grow rapidly to support diversification of revenue outside of tires.

We have a stable operating environment with no LTI’s for over a year in the USA and a strong organizational focus and alignment with HSE values.

Historically, Fenner managed HSE with their own internally developed management system modeled after a BP program.

Globally, we have recently made a decision to migrate to recognized standards of ISO 14001 for Environmental and ISO 45001 for Health and Safety.

This migration to ISO standards will occur during 2020.

Core responsibilities: Divisional Role for Fenner Precision Polymers (PRP), responsible for the organization, continuous development and reporting for our HSE approach across all (current) operating units in China, UK and USA.

Actively support and manage HSE due diligence during an acquisition process.

Postacquisition, champion, collaborate and effectively lead all initiatives to effectively integrate the target into the PRP HSE methods.

Responsible to lead and manage the HSE program for PRP-US, ensuring a compliant and safe place to work for our associates in both office and production areas.

Actively lead and manage incident and/or injury investigations across our network of operating locations.

Collaborate with the team to prepare and complete routine Safety Metric Reports for all locations.

Manage the Safety Management Plan in each fiscal year to ensure continuous reduction of risk exposure.

Oversee continuous improvement and effectiveness of Workers’ Compensation related programs and associated administrative practices in conjunction with HR, EHS, and Benefits.

Manage our HSE internal audit program across our facilities.

Lead the development and continuous improvement of Manager/Supervisor training initiatives focused on awareness of HSE topics as relevant.

Consistently reinforce safety margins through active leadership and participation in incident investigations, corrective actions, toolbox talks, pre-tasking, STOP WORK, and task scanning.

Manage Hazard ID database and process to effectively prioritize, assign action and close out identified risks in our business.

Maintain all regulatory compliance and reporting for OSHA, DEP, electrical, life safety and environmental rules in an ISO environment.

(9001, 14001 and 45001).

Promote and drive recycling program across our network of facilities.

Regularly collaborate with the operations senior leadership and their teams to evaluate both facilities and safety needs in our operations.

Act as a consultant and trainer, as needed.

Work with outside contractors to complete projects as necessary.

Provides timely effective performance feedback to the associates that report to this position.

Lead Stewardship compliance initiatives to ensure a robust process to effectively provide feedback to our customer inquiries regarding Reach, RoHS, Conflict Minerals, Prop65, CE requirements.
