Regional Sales Manager

Our client is looking for a driven, experienced and successful enterprise sales professional to join our Revenue Team. Reporting to the Chief Revenue Officer, this role works closely with our business development reps and marketing team to identify, qualify and close business with leading personal care and food manufacturers in North America.

Ideal candidate is looking to utilize their prior production performance, quality and compliance experience to help production plants and distribution facilities in the Personal Care and Food & Beverage industry maximize the value of their electronic data records and online compliance programs. Prior experience in sales is a requirement.

The primary role for this position is to engage our buyers to build relationships. Experience in helping sell compliance, safety or quality systems is highly desired. As well, prior experience with OEE, Statistical Process Control and Quality is desired.

We are seeking a Regional Sales Manager who can initiate conversations with executives and program owners at leading personal care and food & beverage companies. Reporting to the Chief Revenue Office, the Regional Sales Manager will focus on new business with personal care manufacturers in the United States. Ideally, you will be located in Novato or Chicago, but for the right candidate other locations will be considered.

You are expected to build your own profitable pipeline through direct outreach to qualified prospects. We also support our RSMs with a strong marketing and business development team to collaboratively set qualified meetings.

What you will be doing:

  • Growing a profitable pipeline of opportunities through:
  • Timely and relevant follow-up on inbound interest
  • Account-based outbound and social selling supported by our sales development team with leading-edge tools
  • Delivering on quota numbers aligned with company strategy and ambitious growth targets
  • Negotiating commercial terms with win-win outcomes
  • Using your direct experience of software in manufacturing environments to relate with prospective buyers
  • This is an individual contributor role.

Experience you will need:

  • Successful track record in field sales carrying annual quota of $1M or more for 2+ years with a SaaS company
  • Past experience teaching and leading groups
  • 4+ years work for or with personal care and food & beverage companies
  • Ability to walk a plant and help customers identify additional ways to leverage our software to improve customers overall ROI
  • Direct experience with Performance and Compliance Programs including ISO, SQF, FSSC, etc.
  • Experience with Statistical Process Control (SPC) and OEE.
  • Experience with safety, quality and compliance systems.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Visio).
