If you are a current student at Penn State and seeking employment with Penn State, please login to Workday to complete the student application process.JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:Conference Services and Commons Desk Operations is seeking student leaders who enjoy working with people and providing great customer service to their fellow Penn State students. The Student Manager Concierge is a critical customer service and leadership role for the Commons Desk Operations team that helps makes on-campus living a success.One of the critical aspects of in-person classes is providing Isolation and Quarantine Housing. The Student Manager Concierge is responsible for overseeing a group of student workers charged with delivering packages that are sent to a student’s on-campus room assignment and dropping them off at the student’s door in Isolation and Quarantine Housing. There is no direct contact with any students living here – you simply knock and leave the package at the door, record data, and then update the package system. This role does require data input and a good amount of walking and carrying items during your shift. Additional tasks to support the Commons Desk Operations and Concierge Services may be assigned.Student staff are eligible to work up to 20 hours per week. Applicants hired will be provided training and personal protection equipment (PPE) as necessary. Applicants must have availability to work 4pm – 9pm.This job requires that you operate a motor vehicle as a part of your job duties. A valid US driver’s license and successful completion of a motor vehicle records check will be required in addition to standard background checks.CAMPUS SECURITY CRIME STATISTICS:Pursuant to the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act and the Pennsylvania Act of 1988, Penn State publishes a combined Annual Security and Annual Fire Safety Report (ASR).
