Job Description

This role is responsible for ensuring CSL has pools of ready now and ready soon successors for senior executive and critical roles.

Accountable for creating succession management process, calendar, policies, and tools to align with CSL’s culture and business operational needs.

Works alongside HR leadership to develop the overall strategy, focusing on identification, development, and readiness of key leaders within the organization.

Creates tools and training to teach and support HR business partners (HRBPs) in developing success plan options and executing succession management process deliverables.

Aggregates and analyzes succession plans to identify cross-team succession planning options, identifying success and opportunities across the organization.

Collaborates heavily with Strategic Workforce Planning and L&D leaders.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Execute the company-wide succession planning process ensuring it is dynamic and achieves talent development, progression, and retention outcomes; design and communicate effective talent review and succession planning resources for business and regional meetings and activities
  • Drive adoption and implementation of Succession Management practices and solutions
  • Build and evolve the required competencies and collaboration across the HRBP, DEI, L&D, and TA communities
  • Ensure DEI objectives are integrated and achieved
  • Manage HRBP annual talent review process for EKT and GLG-1 talent, leading up to GLG talent review.

    Workday functionality owner for succession management processes in partnership with HR Systems

  • Influence Global Mobility practices to enable key talent movement
  • Analyze and present succession management outcomes
  • Act as the subject matter expert on all succession management-related topics, consulting with HRBPs, leaders, and other key stakeholders
  • Collaborate with L&D to ensure well-connected development plans exist and are executed for EKT and successors

Education

Bachelor’s degree in HR or a related field of business is required.

Master’s degree in a human resources , organization development, or MBA is preferred

Experience

Minimum of 10 years’ experience in a for-profit, business environment

Minimum of 10 years’ experience in talent management, HRBP, or org development positions

Minimum of 8 years’ experience leading global initiatives

Deep knowledge of leadership, management and employee development strategies and contemporary practices and technologies

Experience influencing executives, leaders, and peers from various cultures and professions
