Description

Arora Engineers, Inc. is seeking a Development Director for our corporate operations! The Development Director will lead sales and business development efforts with an emphasis on technology, software products and services primarily related to the “Enterprise Solutions” group of Arora Companies. Enterprise Solutions consists of Arora Technology Group, LLC (ATG) and the Arora ATLAS platform as well as Smart Restroom and other products, ATLAS for Work Management. Additionally, this group includes Electronic Data, Inc. (EDI) and Asset Management, IoT, and BIM integration software and consulting, as well as the Geospatial group who performs GIS and other Data based consulting and design services.

Although Arora’s Engineering, Construction Management, and Facilities Management groups are not initially directly tied to this role, those services are encouraged to be promoted and integrated into client pursuits.

This position will oversee the sales, metrics, and reporting for the new business development of the Enterprise Solutions portfolio as detailed above as a blend of individual contributor responsibilities, as well as direct and indirect reports of sales and seller/doer operations team members.

Essential Functions:

  • Utilizes existing network and new contacts to proactively pursue new business within multiple end client and prime consultants.
  • Lead business development efforts for Enterprise Solutions products and services in multiple business verticals in and outside of our core Aviation sector.
  • Attends conferences and trade shows to promote Arora’s offerings.
  • Supports the development and strategic direction of the Enterprise Solutions service/product line guiding market needs for further development and customized solutions.
  • Solutions based selling, client needs identification, development and delivery of customized sales presentations.
  • Delivery of Software product demonstrations to prospective clients.
  • Prepares written scope and cost proposals and executes professional service and recurring revenue contracts.
  • Works with the Operations team to ensure sales commitments are carried through with the client.
  • Meets sales goals as determined by Arora Management.
  • Supports creating of a business plan to align with Arora Engineers overall strategy, while creating district-specific methods and plan for market penetration and approach.
  • Advises and supports project management post-sale, primarily in a client liaison capacity, using other support skills as needed.
  • Seeks out international opportunities, with prior discussion and planning and as directed by management.
  • Manages, reviews, and oversees Enterprise Solutions Sales staff as applicable.

Secondary Functions:

  • Other related duties as assigned by the CMO or VP, Enterprise Solutions.
  • As needed or as opportunities arise, identify and assist in pursuit of Arora Engineers service offerings including but not limited to: Engineering, and Construction Management.
  • Close collaboration with the Sales and Operations team across the Arora family of companies and disciplines.
  • Supports the interviewing, hiring, orientation and training of incoming Business Development staff as directed.

Qualifications

Education/Experience Minimum:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or Engineering.
  • 8+ years of technology and software solutions sales.

Needed Skills:

  • Knowledge of agency procurement processes and a network of high level decision- making contacts within the aviation field.
  • High technical aptitude and ability to quickly learn new products and services and convey benefits to prospects.
  • Ability to create opportunities, drive a sales process, close deals, and assist in their implementation.
  • Experience and knowledge of marketing and business development as it pertains to the A/E industry, software, and technology industry,.
  • Ability to discuss A/E industry on global level.
  • Proven record of increasing marketing and business development successes in the A/E and Technology field, particularly as related to sales goals.
  • Proven record of increasing expertise, including: decision making, flexibility, problem-solving, reasoning, strategic thinking, and accountability.
  • Excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent communications written and spoken English.
  • Ability to initiate communications to all levels of audience.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Fluency in MS Office Suite
  • Ability to create and maintain professional working relationships with colleagues, vendors and advisors.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain appropriate security statuses.
  • Holds a legal right to work in US.
