LaPlaca insurance is looking for an Account Representative to support the sales and marketing functions of assigned Sales Executive(s) and to provide service to existing customers with emphasis on increasing sales, retention, speed, accuracy, and exemplary customer service.We want to hear from you if you are a self-motivated individual with excellent customer service skills and can take initiative in learning and implementing new concepts, technologies and/or methods.

?Education, Work Experience, & Knowledge:4-year College degree or equivalent insurance experience.Must have state-specific insurance licenses, or a strong desire and ability to obtain those required.Comprehensive knowledge of insurance products and usages.Part-time availability will be considered.Primary Responsibilities & Duties:Works as an efficient team member with Agency Sales Executive(s) to assemble, market, and place coverage for new clients; Pre-qualifies and analyzes prospects’ coverage needs; Recommends coverages and prepares rating quotes and proposals to sell new products and policies; Works independently andproactively on new business allowing the sales executive to focus on bringing in qualified prospects.Prepares proposals and completes application in coordination with sales executives; works proactively with prospect to gather information and ensure applications are complete and accurate to meet submission deadlines; submits applications toeligible and appropriate carriers; obtains client signatures on all applications; follows up to ensure timely receipt of quotations and policies.Attends to client’s needs by producing certificates, policies, endorsements, and other related items as needed; verifies their accuracyusing established and credible sources.Maintains orderly electronic files and information, following Agency standards, supporting a paperless work environmentProcesses renewals and remarkets, as needed prior to renewal to ensure timeliness and no lapse in coverage.Assists clients with making coverage changes and completes all service requests for clients.Informs clients of policy changes, exclusions of coverage and insurance coverage needs.

Explains coverages and exclusions to clients.Prepares summaries of insurance, schedules, and proposals as needed for a comprehensive account review.Assists clients in submitting first reports of claims, facilitates prompt response from company staff and follow up on claims status to keep clients informed of status.Reviews audits of policies; verifies accuracy and facilitates corrections, as needed, between client and carrier.Competencies:Self-Management: Energetically focus efforts on meeting goals, mission, or objectives; demonstrate self-control and an ability to set priorities and manage workflow to ensure efficient, timely, and accurate processing of transactions and other responsibilities; Works quickly & efficiently on many accounts simultaneously, especially new business opportunities to support high closing ratiosAnalytical / Decision Making: Ability to carry out complex tasks with concrete and abstract variables.
