Senior Financial Analyst

WESCO -Anixter is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst on the IT Finance team supporting Global IT and Digital & IT Integration/Transformation.

The position will report to the Finance Director – IT.

The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following: Provide financial reporting and expertise and engage with WESCO-Anixter IT leaders and business partners to align reporting to support IT Integration/Transformation projects and initiatives and other strategic long-term investments.

Responsible to measure, report and account for merger and integration synergies.

Responsible for capital portfolio tracking and analysis, including monthly project reporting, detailing project spend, status and review of initiatives against budget and forecast, ensuring capital is accurately accounted for WESCO-Anixter’s initiatives.

Provide financial governance and measure vendor performance on all application and infrastructure 3rd party programs.

Prepare monthly financial analysis reporting package; including project reporting, synergy tracking, creation and maintenance of balanced scorecards, KPIs and metrics, discretionary and non
– discretionary expense, license compliance, manage special projects and ad hoc analysis.

Provide required support for integrated financial reporting and analysis for WESCO-Anixter.

Provide input to support the monthly financial forecasts and annual and long-term strategic business plan and financial statement modeling for 5-year plan.

Assist with auditing and preparation as needed of project Business Investment Requests, including cost overview, discounted cash flow analysis.

Review and ensure application of appropriate internal controls, SOX compliance and financial procedures.

Requirements: Candidate must possess a bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance with 5-7 years of relevant experience as well as IT Finance background/knowledge.

CPA is desirable but not required.

Understanding of ASC 350-40 Internal-Use Software and accounting for Cloud Computing arrangements is desirable.

Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Access, Essbase, Power BI and or PeopleSoft/Oracle Cloud Financials, and OneStream is desirable.

Ability to set priorities, achieve results and meet deadlines within required schedules.

Strong communication and presentation skills with ability to translate complex analytical data into easily understandable format.

Must be a detailed oriented, assertive self-starter who is able to work effectively independently as well as on a team.

Strong overall business skills and common-sense approach to issues.

Ability to work, communicate, advise, and co-operate effectively with others at all levels.

Candidates should have strong work ethic, ability to self-manage, and possess a hands-on attitude.

Willingness and ability to adapt to the rapid business and organizational changes that accompany an ever-changing environment.
