A News Producer is needed to create a news line up for the days newscast.

General duties include:

• Finding enterprising news stories to report
• Researching and writing several news stories
• Scheduling interviews and assigning news shoots
• Conducting phone interviews when necessary
• Updating social media and news website throughout the day
• Additional duties as needed

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism or related field
• Familiarity with video editing and newsroom writing software
• Proficiency with basic office equipment such as computers
• Excellent Communication Skills – oral and written
• Ability to multitask in a fast paced environment
• Ability to work well independently as well as part of a team
• Ability to meet tight deadlines
• Ability to work any shift on short notice
• Ability to work in a friendly and professional manner within our team environment at all times
• Ability to work effectively while adhering to company policies and procedures
• Must have a valid Driver’s License and good driving record in order to operate company vehicles
