Windchill Consultant Position Description CGI is seeking an experienced Windchill Consultant to support a growing need for PLM expertise within a team of professionals who support manufacturing clients with end-to-end solution offerings and professional services. The successful candidate will draw from experience in engineering design and product data management to develop business processes within a PLM system that implements the clientaposs configuration and change management requirements. The member will evaluate future business needs and recommend additional functionality and modules to address those needs. The position location is Reading, PA. Your future duties and responsibilities The member will provide solution design and implementation of PTC Windchill including a new implementation for our clientaposs Aerospace and Defense Business. The member will configure the environment to provide strict configuration management controls while delivering a well thought out methodology that is straightforward to follow. The member will work onsite at the clientaposs facility and will be responsible for the introduction of Windchill to new users including training and mentoring and will provide user support as the implementation matures. The member will provide recommendations and subsequent implementation of additional PLM capabilities within Windchill that add business value as well as integrations with other applications and technologies including the ThingWorx platform. Required qualifications to be successful in this role 5+ years of experience as a Windchill consultant or administrator configuring and maintaining Windchill 10.0 or higher Working knowledge of engineering design configuration and change management processes. Skill Set Years of Experience Proficiency Level Windchill Business Administration 5 yrs High Windchill System Administration 3 yrs Medium CAD – Solidworks or Creo 1 yr Medium Desired Qualifications 2+ years of experience as a mechanical engineer or equivalent engineering field. Ability to work independently and meet project time lines Aptitude for problem solving and issue resolution. Excellent oral and written communication skills presenting to technical users as well senior managers.
