SIRO supports pre-award and Federally funded Training Grants for multi-college and multi-institutional efforts, while Finance Office (FO) within OSVPR provides post-award support for complex large-team funded awards.

This position will report to a Project Manager in the SIRO and will perform duties listed below for university-wide training grants.nn nnThe responsibilities for this position include the following:nn nnAssist with processing appointments through funding agency portals (eg eRA Commons).

Maintaining all records of fellowship stipends, tuition, benefits and terminations through funding agency portalsnn nnAssist with annual progress report preparation and submissions (eg financial and technical) to funding agencynn nnProcess payback agreements and any unliquidated obligations at end of fiscal yearnn nnAssist with tracking student status with training program requirementsnn nnAssist with Graduate Action Forms (GAFs), and Benefit Action Forms (BAFs)nn nnProcess all financial reconciliations on budgeted expensesnn nnManage all training grant matching accountsnn nnAssist with management of ExTract and other training grant alumni tracking requirements for reporting and grant renewalnn nnProvide quarterly budget reports to training grant PIsnn nnThis position will actively collaborate with the college and institute staff assisting with training grants (e.g.

HHD and Huck Institute staff
– Director of Graduate Programs, Assistant Training Grant Administrator, and Director of Graduate Training Initiatives).nn nnThis position will be filled as level 3, and typically requires a Bachelors degree plus two years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel functions, Governmental Reporting Systems (i.e., FastLane (NSF), ERA Commons (NIH)), Agency experience ( Strategic Information Management System (SIMS) grant reporting and budget functions (or similar institutional programs), and SIMBA financial system, are highly preferred.

Requires flexibility and self-management skills, including the ability to prioritize among a large number of diverse responsibilities.

Must be able to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Exceptional communication (both verbal and written) and interpersonal skills required.
