Pediatric Specialty Care at Point Pleasant in Bucks County, PA is currently seeking a part-time, Program Specialist to join our team! In the role of a Program Specialist, you are responsible to assist in planning, organizing, and developing IHP/ISP in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations, and as may be directed by Administrator, to ensure that highest degree of quality resident care can be maintained at all times.

Responsibilities:

Day-to-Day tasks include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide hands on activities to residents, individual and group, according to activities calendar
  • Assist staff in ensuring safety of ambulatory/mobile residents by offering activities
  • Work with interdisciplinary team to identify behavioral /health and safety concerns
  • Assist in developing Health and Safety/ Behavior Support Plans
  • Responsible for compiling information for monthly and quarterly documentation
  • Learn the IHP/ISP Timeline over the course of 6 to 12 months
  • Develop and train staff on behavioral/health and safety plans

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Sociology, Human Services or related field plus a minimum of two (2) years of experience working directly with persons with Intellectual Developmental Disability 

    • OR
  • Associate degree in Psychology, Sociology, Human Services or related field (at least 60 hours from an accredited college or university) plus a minimum of four (4) years of experience working directly with persons with Intellectual Developmental Disability

  • Must be at least 21 years of age

  • Proficiency with computer usage and applications such as Microsoft Office ·

  • Must have a current, valid driver license
