Description/Job SummaryThe Organizational Development and Training Specialist is an integral member of the Learning & Development team.   Utilizing a systems-thinking framework, the ODTS supports key talent management strategies for sustaining a high performance organization in alignment with RHD’s mission, values, culture and strategic priorities.

This position facilitates organizational initiatives across the corporation that enhance our human resource capacity, demonstrates strategic thinking to increase efficiency, identifies and develops best practice standards, provides ongoing assessment and diagnostics that uncover trends, insights, organizational issues/needs, and then designs and delivers learning solutions for improving organizational performance. Essential functions include consultation, needs assessment, instructional design, development and evaluation of courseware and educational programs, training delivery and facilitation, and assistance with executing corporate learning initiatives.Essential Duties and FunctionsConducts needs assessments for programs and departmentsAssess and identify organizational trends, issues, needs and challenges that impact effectivenessConduct diagnostic work flow/process analysisCreate and implement interventions that advance the organization’s goals and objectivesFacilitate cross functional collaborationAchieve both quantitative and qualitative outcomes with organizational initiativesSupport employee engagement effortsCreate and implement interventions and activities that connect employees with organizational strategic goalsSupport the effective development of trams throughout the organizationProvide consultative supports to organization and program leadershipConsult to subject-matter expertsFacilitate strategic thinking and planningIdentify best practice models and processesSupport leadership onboarding, assessment and developmentDevelop recommendations for improving organizational performanceFacilitate small and large groupsFacilitate and support systems transition, transformation, and restructuring processesFacilitate large organizational change processesFacilitate ongoing work group meetingsDesign and facilitate retreats and staff development activitiesManage projects and efforts that support the organizational cultureFacilitate and support the effective resolution and management of group conflictConduct RHD values education and implementation work locally and nationallyFacilitate stakeholder assessment and engagement in organizational dynamics, culture and changeCoordinate efforts with external consultants, partners, and resources locally and regionallyConduct needs assessments to support the design, development and implementation of training and learning solutions through surveys, interviews, focus groups and observationUtilize adult learning principles and proven methodologies to design training and learning solutions in both the ILT and vILT environments in alignment with organizational goals and objectives and comprised of engaging and interactive componentsMeasure effectiveness of training and learning solutions through evaluation and analysis of tests/quizzes, surveys, focus groups, interviews, performance outcomes, relevant data, reports and documentation; make value-added recommendations and changes based on evaluation findingsUtilize the Learning Management System to implement and deliver learning and training solutionsOther duties as identified and assignedPlease note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.

– Minimum of three years demonstrating experience within the organizational development field and L space.

Prior experience providing consultation and learning solutions to staff working in both residential and community-based human service settings a plus.Salary$60,000-$65,000/yearRequired Education Education
– All candidates should have a Master’s Degree in Organizational Development, Organizational Leadership, Education, Social Work/Psychology or related fields.Required Qualifications Specialized knowledge
– Experience in and/or knowledge of the field of human services, organizational systems and adult learning theories and principlesDemonstrated ability to design, develop, implement, deliver and evaluate high-quality, impactful training and learning solutions using instructional design methodologies in both the ILT and vILT environmentsSkills-Excellent written and verbal communication skills including group facilitation and presentation skills; Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills, professional self-awareness, and emotional intelligence;Highly technology-literate; ability to quickly learn new systems and toolsIntermediate skill level in computer usage in various applications (MS Office applications, Internet and Intranet)Abilities
– Ability to work collegially and constructively with people at all levels across the corporation; Ability to think creatively, strategically and systemically, while also attending to details effectively; Capacity to create and facilitate staff development opportunities; Ability to organize/prioritize work and stay centered and constructive in the midst of rapid change, and manage multiple tasks and projects effectively as a self-directed leader of multiple initiatives;Other characteristics such as personal characteristics
