$17.00/hour positions in ManufacturingJohnson Outdoors Gear, home of Eureka Tents, is looking for energetic individuals for manufacturing positions to help us build shelters for our military and party rental customers.Full-time 1st Shift: Monday Thursday 7:00 AM 5:30 PM; overtime on Friday 7:00 AM 12:00PM+ as needed.Evening transportation assistance to downtown Binghamton provided for users of Broome County Transit buses.Apply in-person at 625 Conklin Road, Binghamton 9-4pm Mon-Fri, or apply online.What you will do:There are a variety of assembly and machine operating processes that go into building our tents.

No experience required, though previous sewing experience is helpful.

We will teach you what you need to know to succeed!

You will:Operate light industrial machines such as sewing machines, radio-frequency heat sealing machines, tackers, cutters and more to assemble products.Gather/unload nylon or vinyl-laminated material pieces as needed to set up your work area for production.Help to move assembled tent components up the production line tables, folding and staging product as needed for other production associates to complete their work.

May require heavy pushing, pulling or lifting.Perform hand assembly such as setting grommets, braiding rope or adding fittings.

Pack tents for shipment.Maintain work area through proper use, regular cleaning and immediately reporting any problems to Supervisor.

Perform routine machine checks and basic component replacements as needed.Check work to ensure good quality.

Bring any quality issues to Supervisor’s attention.Completes other duties as assigned by Supervisor.What you will receive:Competitive base wage of $17.00/hour to startPaid holidays and onsite wellness programs.

All jobs involve frequent leaning forward to work on material, and occasional bending.All jobs require frequent use of hands to grasp and manipulate vinyl or nylon material and to operate the heat-sealing or sewing machines.All jobs require frequent reaching both above and below shoulder height, use of arms to push and pull material.Jobs will require the ability to push/pull at least 10 lbs.
