Identity & Access Management AdministratorSummaryThe Identity and Access Management Administrator (IAMA) is a member of F&M’s IAM and Information Security team and partners with other Information Technology Services (ITS) work groups and key administrative campus stakeholders. This team develops and implements Identity and Access Management capabilities that enable the full lifecycle management of F&M account identities, credentials and entitlements according to security, privacy and compliance requirements. Reporting to F&M’s Chief Information Security Officer and working with the College’s other IAMA, the successful candidate will provide recommendations to ITS leadership about best practices and possible future improvements and new initiatives that would advance F&M’s IAM strategies and requirements. The IAMA will serve as a lead for F&M’s IAM needs. In this role the IAMA is expected to design, develop and maintain IAM solutions and processes that utilize a variety of software technologies. They are required to frequently work to resolve defects and troubleshoot systems which may include responding to after-hours emergencies such as service outages or interruptions.Essential Functions:Develop, monitor, revise and maintain the College’s identity management services. This includes but is not limited to developing, monitoring and documenting account provisioning and deprovisioning; management of servers and applications that support self-service password management and multi-factor authentication services; and management of the College’s Google services such as automated group creation/population.Develop, monitor, revise and maintain the College’s access management services. This includes but is not limited to developing, monitoring and documenting access control, federated identity management and single sign-on systems such as CAS, Shibboleth, Duo, Active Directory, LDAP and SAML integrations leveraged by both on-premise and cloud-based applications.Working with stakeholders, vendors, and IT, identifies, documents, and leads remediation of information security and operational issues impacting College’s identity management systems.Develop, monitor, revise and maintain system integrations to central campus systems such as the student information system, human resource system and other on-premise and cloud-based administrative software solutions that either provide or require identity access attributes to meet campus needs.Serves as main contact for consultation, support and integration of enterprise single sign-on, identity federation, and integration services with departmental IT staff, outside organizations, and vendors to design, evaluate and implement services.Continuously develop expertise in functional business process understanding, information and security compliance, and advanced technical solutions, using this expertise to implement advanced and highly complex software solutions with minimal supervision.This position is required to keep abreast of identity and access management solutions, to include relevant best practices, emerging trends and security-related considerations that will support and advance the needs of F&M and may be appropriate to incorporate into F&M’s architecture.Requirements:Associate’s degree and a minimum of two years of relevant experience in an enterprise environment OR an equivalent combination of education, training and relevant experience.Two (2) years of experience leading the development, design and implementation of IAM solutions.Familiar with IAM principles and policy, such as segregation of duties analysis, access reviews, provisioning/de-provisioning, authorization and authentication protocols, and access governance.Knowledge and experience with the following server operating systems: Linux, Windows.Knowledge and experience with the following identity management integration tools: XML, MS SQL, SQL/Oracle and PL/SQL development, PowerShell, python and C#.Experience developing applications, identity management programming, and authentication technologies with access control platforms such as CAS, Shibboleth, Microsoft Active Directory, LDAP, SAML, as well as MFA or other federated identity solutions.Experience and expertise with SAAS Identity Management Solutions as well as Identity Management solution integration with SAAS applications that support specific academic and administrative functions on campus. A deep understanding of Active Directory, including security, group structures, and policies.The ability to work with confidential data in a professional manner.Ability to write clearly and accurately document activities.Ability to set priorities and manage work and deadlines independently.Ability to analyze data and make recommendations based on national and local trends and to design processes that enhance services while maximizing college resources.Demonstrated effective oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.Preferred Experience/Education:Bachelor’s degree and five years of relevant experience in an enterprise environment.Experience in requirements gathering, business analysis, documentation of functional specifications, test cases, testing documentations.Additional Information:Offers of employment are contingent upon the successful completion of reference checks, a criminal background verification, and verification of credentials.
