Inventory, Shipping, and Receiving Technician

Job SummaryThe Technician is responsible for carrying out routine tasks at a customer site, all of which may include: basic order entry, shipping & receiving, inventory point of use replenishment (inventory), production packaging, cylinder delivery, pickup, waste disposal, desktop delivery of inbound packages, cleanroom garment management, and glass washing.

The work is generally performed in a laboratory, university and/or pharmaceutical environment.

Must be cognizant of and adhere to Standard Operating Procedures and regulatory requirements.MAJOR JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Facilitates orders for consumable lab inventory replenishmentManages customer’s point of use or stockroom inventoryResponsible for logistical activities such as shipping and receiving of materials through coordination with 3rd party couriersMay handle and manage chemicals, including hazardous materialsBasic order entry and follow-up on existing backordersHandles and manages chemicals, including hazardous materialsMaintains and checks safety stationsUpdating and maintaining Standard Operating ProceduresCleanroom garment managementMay require traveling between customer sitesPerform other duties as assignedQUALIFICATIONSHigh school diploma or GED required1-2 years experience in material handling/inventory replenishment or customer serviceSpill containment training, IATA, DOT, IMDG and OSHA Right to Know a plusPrevious experience working in a GMP facility a plusKnowledge of scientific products and servicesKNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES Conform to all company and customer requirements for background checks, health and safety issues, security clearancesStrong communication skillsExcellent Customer Service Skills; display a professional can-do attitudePerform duties with the highest regard for safety and qualityAbility to understand and follow site protocols, policies and proceduresMust be flexible, forward

Furthermore, the job requires associates to lift/carry/push or pull up to 50 pounds with or without assistance.Associates use both hands for repetitive actions such as grasping and manipulating as well as both feet for repetitive movement operating foots controls.
