Gwynedd Manufacturing, a growing defense contractor located in North Wales Pennsylvania, is a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility dedicated to producing quality products for the U.S.

Department of Defense and various U.S.

Federal Law Enforcement Agencies.

As an innovative company offering a wide array of products, we strive to continuously develop new technology and drive process improvement.

We are currently seeking a Safety Specialist to develop, implement, and sustain safety processes and procedures.

This position will report to the Human Resources Manager.

Responsibilities Conducts accident investigations, works with departments to correct safety hazards, and develops preventative procedures.

Helps with development, implementation, monitoring, and managing of safety programs, policies, and procedures.

Prepares and conducts training classes to educate the workforce and leadership team.

Track and trend reporting incidents and calculate injury frequencies for corporate and OSHA compliance.

Performs job hazard assessments and recommends measures to control exposures, including substitution of less hazardous materials, personal protective equipment (PPE), work practice changes, and engineering controls.

Helps develop and administer procedures and coordinate the processing of Workers’ Compensation claims; assists managers in returning injured employees to work; provides training and safety procedures; and gives basic safety procedural advice.

·Must have experience conducting hazard assessments of CNC (Computer Numerical Controlled) Machinery.
· Minimum 2 years’ of safety experience.
· Minimum of 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment.
· Excellent oral and written communications skills with the ability to present and explain health and safety topics.
· Valid competency certificates.
· Proficient in all MS office.
· In depth knowledge of Legislation (e.G.

OSHA, etc.)
· Bachelors’ degree and/or commensurate experience and certification.
