Primary Responsibilities:

The Unloader Associate organizes the staging lanes and loads/unloads KeHE orders accurately per destination DC. 

 

Monday – Friday

10a.m-6:30pm

$16/hr

Essential Functions:

  • Operates pallet jack and dock stocker to manipulate product.
  • Unloads freight from KeHE trailers and verifies pallet count on BOL, they are also unloading 3rd party carriers who deliver freight to the XDK.
  • Check-in requires special attention to temp class.  DRY, RFG and FRZ must maintain integrity and be staged properly.
  • Stages freight in the correct destination DC lane.
  • Loads 3rd party carriers that take freight to other KeHE DC’s, while maximizing cube and weight and ensuring the load is legal to be on the road.
  • Interacts with KeHE and OTR drivers in a way that promotes KeHE’s culture
  • Builds and prints KeHE Master BOL’s from NTS while ensuring the carrier has the correct paperwork for the load.
  • Works collaboratively with DC 15 Inbound on process flow and product staging.
  • Works closely with other XDK team members on daily workload and flow of loading/unloading.
  • Other duties and special projects as requested.
  • Maintains good attendance.

  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
  • Preferred minimum of two (2) years of experience working in a warehouse environment.

Qualifications / Additional Skills / Aptitude:

  • Preferred previous experience operating powered industrial equipment (i.e., forklift, pallet jacks, stock pickers, etc.), and OSHA Forklift Certification
  • Ability to communicate well with internal customers and management.
  • Ability to follow safe working practices, as instructed.
  • Ability to efficiently work independent of direct supervision.

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The associate is required to sit. The associate is frequently required to stand, walk, and climb. While performing the duties of this position, the associate is subject to a warehouse environment where temperatures can vary from very cool to very warm. The associate is also exposed to outside weather conditions. The noise levels in the work environment are typically low to moderate.
