Windows Server Administrator

This is a Contract position in Pgh, PA posted June 29, 2020.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Kforce is seeking an experienced Windows Server Administrator for a 9 month contract position with a leading company in the greater Pittsburgh, PA area.

This role will be join a larger client team to provide operational support and project assistance with the following: Evaluate and Patch servers (ex: Windows 2012 R2 and Windows 2016 servers using Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager) Diagnose and troubleshoot system issues Provide Level 1 support for the systems and related applications Establish and administer change control, Operational Changes the environments Install, configure, and administer the operating system, peripheral devices, and networking protocols Perform system administration; security, file and directory permissions, adding/deleting users, etc.

Work with Information Security to review vulnerabilities and remediate those issues Ensure system optimization; monitor, troubleshoot and resolve performance issues as they relate to; process, CPU, memory, i/o network, and web server Perform task automation; batch, queuing and scheduling Work closely with the application teams to provide integrated planning for operating system upgrades, database upgrades, application upgrades and hardware migrations Job Requirements: REQUIREMENTS: 5 years of relevant professional experience in Server Administration Experience with Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager) Excellent communication and documentation skills Knowledge of best practices for ongoing operational support for servers (patching, tuning etc.) Ability to effectively Problem Solve Experience working with large enterprise companies and working effectively within defined processes Financial Services/Regulatory experience is a plus Kforce is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
