Position Overview: We are seeking a Senior Business Development Director (SBDD) to lead the Healthcare Services sales team, and guide our cross-functional team consisting of marketing, pre-sales, and customer success to grow Mursion’s footprint.

The ideal candidate for this “Player-Coach” role will have a background in both corporate learning sales and sales leadership.

Deep experience selling leadership, DEI, and/or sales enablement products into the healthcare sector is essential.

This position is a full-time, salaried position that will earn incentives.

The SBDD will report directly to the VP of Sales.

The position can be based out of Headquarters in San Francisco or you could live in a large metropolitan area, such as New York City, Los Angeles, Washington D.C., Atlanta, Dallas, Denver, etc.

Responsibilities
Lead the cross-functional Healthcare team to develop and implement a strategic go-to-market plan for the vertical, and support the team towards achieving our new business and client retention targets.

Manage and coach multiple Business Development Directors to consistently implement Mursion’s playbook for winning new business and renewing and expanding existing accounts.  Run data-driven cross-functional team meetings to identify and resolve issues that may be impeding the team from achieving its goals.  Leverage your network of leaders and cultivate in-house leads to grow the business.

Develop a strong understanding of customer needs to provide personalized assistance and exceptional service throughout the sales process.

Meet and exceed individual and team sales goals consistently.

Qualifications
5+ years of experience in a business development role in the corporate learning sector.

1+ years in a leadership role (sales leadership is preferred but not required).

Demonstrated experience in negotiating and closing large and complex deals ($1M+).

Well-versed in a solutions-based and technology-savvy sales approach.

Ability to travel for conferences and key customer meetings (approx.

15%).

Adaptable problem solver who’s comfortable with ambiguities of a startup environment.  Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage hundreds of prospects and existing customers, while managing the performance of a small team.  Comfortable working with individuals with diverse backgrounds and work styles internally and externally.

Able to identify problems and design solutions without waiting for instruction or permission and organize necessary support around them.  Interested in immersing themselves and developing a deep understanding of Mursion’s technolog y.
