President Crozer Chester Medical CenterReporting to: Chief Operating Officer, Crozer HealthSeated: Chester, PennsylvaniaPosition Summary:Performs duties in support of Crozer Chester Medical Center and the Crozer Health missions.

Ensures that the delivery of the highest quality care and service is provided in an economically sound and efficient manner.Serves as Chief Administrator daily representing the CEO of CHS.Accountabilities/Criteria:Participates at the executive level in the general administration and overall planning of all aspects of Crozer Chester Medical Center.Participates at the executive level in the development of the financial plan of Crozer Chester Medical Center.Review budgets for hospital departments as part of the annual budget process.

Ensures budgets meet established financial goals while enabling the ongoing delivery of quality care and services.Assesses the needs of the community and participates actively at the executive level in the determination of long-range health care planning.Organizes services to delineate authority, functional responsibility, line of relationships, and communication.Establishes and maintains a comprehensive and ongoing quality monitoring and improvement plan.Participates in the recruitment of physicians and/or other professionals, including serving on professional search committees as assigned.Participates in the formulation, implementation, and review of personnel policies that are consistent with Hospital policies and contracts.Oversees the recruitment, selection, promotion, and termination of personnel.Ensures that there are effective orientation, in-service, and continuing education programs for personnel.Meets regularly with Department Managers and Vice Presidents supporting all areas of the Hospital to communicate pertinent information and solicit input.Promotes the use of the Hospital as a clinical facility for educational programs.Promotes the delivery of quality patient care and services within the Hospital.Develops, in conjunction with executive leadership, the philosophy and goals of the Hospital.Coordinates the development of policies and standards of care for the delivery of care to patients.Maintains, in cooperation with VPs and Department Managers, a physical and technological environment conducive to the delivery of quality patient care.Ensures the efficient utilization of resources to provide safe and therapeutically effective patient care and services.In conjunction with appropriate medical staff and administrative leadership, coordinates and plans activities for clinical areas within the scope of service.In conjunction with the appropriate clinical leadership, it provides coordination to the development of clinical programs within the scope of service.Willingly and readily assists all internal and external customers as needed, looking beyond the individual scope of service.

Assists customers through the resolution of problems whenever possible.

In instances where assistance cannot be provided personally, directs customers to the appropriate individual and/or location.Interacts with patients, visitors and other customers in a courteous, professional and service-oriented manner.

Communicates in a positive, helpful and friendly manner at all times, using appropriate body language, eye contact and tone of voice.

Maintains constructive relationships at all times.Interacts with co-workers, Hospital staff and supervisors in a courteous, professional and service-oriented manner.
