Clinical Research Analyst

Community Behavioral Health

Position Overview: 

The Senior Research Analyst is responsible for supporting the analytic and evaluation activities across a range of clinical issues critical to CBH, through sound measurement and statistical design. This position presents executive summary reports of analytics and outcomes by levels of care or program and other reporting formats to management and committees as assigned. 

Essential Functions

  • Analyze, synthesize and evaluate behavioral health data via analytic tools to examine existing and potential trends in service utilization, clinical impact and cost effectiveness and propose data-informed recommendations for CBH leadership
  • Develop technical specifications to create datasets for analytic purposes.
  • Develop and present reports of analyses and outcomes to CBH leadership and committees

Position Requirements: 

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree required in social sciences, health informatics, public health; Master’s Degree preferred
  • License/Certification:   N/A
  • Relevant Work Experience: Minimum of five (5) years experience in statistics, research and/or evaluation; familiarity with population health framework; behavioral health claims experience preferred. Combination of education and work experience allowed.
  • Skills:
  • Experience with SAS, R, STATA, and/or SPSS
  • Proficiency in relational database queries (i.e.: SQL)
  • Experience with outcomes data collection and survey methodology (i.e.: Survey Monkey, QuickBase)
  • Experience with geospatial mapping software, i.e.: Arc GIS 
  • Familiarity with data visualization software, i.e.: Power BI
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (i.e.: Excel)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to interpret business requirements/questions into technical and analytical requirements
