– MR nn nn Position Description n n Nationally recognized MossRehab/Einstein Elkins Park is a 196 bed facility offering acute care and inpatient rehabilitation services.

MossRehab also consists of an additional 55 inpatient rehabilitation beds located throughout the Greater Philadelphia Metropolitan Area.Our mission is to improve the lives of people with disability through advocacy, education, research and innovative care.We have an exceptional opportunity for an experienced Director of Nursing who is responsible for the oversight of nursing /clinical operations and for the supervision of care for all patients at Einstein Elkins Park and Moss Rehab.

nn In this role you will be responsible for: In this role you will be responsible for: Working directly with the Elkins Park and MossRehab COO, The Nurse Director in collaboration with the CNO the Clinical Director of Nursing sets the vision and practice for safe, timely, efficient and equitable patient centered care.

Drives strategic nursing and organizational imperatives.

Directs, develops, implements, reviews nursing service goals and objectives specific to the MossRehab and Einstein Elkins Park.

Promotes an atmosphere of service, respect, professional growth, and encouragement for all nursing staff members and assures regulatory standards, Magnet requirements and company goals are met or exceeded.

Defines, plans, implements and monitors patient care delivery.

Responsible for fiscal management including care hours , operating budget for areas of responsibility.

Collaborates with stakeholders to determine patient care, facility and equipment needs.

Participates in the development, review and revision nursing and clinical policies.

Monitors quality, service delivery /patient experience outcomes.

Determines and monitors staffing needs of the nursing department and ensure the assignment of appropriate and adequate numbers of nursing staff daily for each shift to ensure that the needs of the patients are met.

Develops and oversees implementation of improvement action plans as appropriate.

Develops and maintain methods for coordinating nursing services with physician, therapy and ancillary services to ensure the continuity of the patients total regimen of care.

Participates in regulatory surveys.

Must be an active participant in the facilitys Quality Assurance/Performance Improvement Program
– and Performance Improvement Committee (PIC).

Facilitates consensus building.

Makes presentations to diverse audiences.

Drives employee engagement and shared governance model.

Facilitates the advancement of scholarly work and Nursing research.

n n If you possess the following qualifications, please apply immediately: Masters Degree required.

A minimum of three years of clinical experience in rehabilitation.

Minimum of five years of progressive nursing leadership / clinical operations experience required.

Knowledgeable of nursing, medical practices and procedures.

Adheres to professional association standards of practice.

Uses data and other sources of evidence to inform decision-making.

Mentors others in developing career plan and ensure succession planning.

Knowledgeable of all regulations, guidelines and best practices that pertain to Acute Inpatient Rehabilitation.

Possess leadership, communication and relationship management, change management.

Knowledgeable of the healthcare environment, professionalism, business skills, conflict management and the capability to direct managers of develop staff skills.

Possess the ability to plan, organize, develop, implement and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies and procedures, etc.

Understand the basics of budgeting, lean concepts, and financial reporting.

Possess the ability to create a collaborative and efficient workplace with attention to quality standards and policies.

Regular local travel to off site locations is required.

Certificate in Rehabilitation or Nurse Executive Leadership ( NEA
– BC) required or eligible.

Current Pennsylvania Nursing License required.
