County Caseworker 1 (Local Government) – Northumberland County MH/ID (Multiple Vacancies)

Northumberland County Behavioral Health & Intellectual Developmental Program is seeking, compassionate and motivated and people to work with children, adolescents and adults in full time positions as a County Caseworker 1 in both Behavioral Health and Intellectual/Developmental Services.  Provide casework services to individuals and members of their families to help them in achieving a more satisfactory adjustment to their specific problems or situations.  This includes maintaining close contact with individuals, families, and service providers in order to evaluate and document treatment being provided and progress in meeting identified goals of treatment.  Link individual/s with appropriate community resources and advocate for resource services delivery.  Also work collaboratively with social agencies, hospitals, clinics, Courts and other community resources. Work Hours: 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (M-F) with a 30 minute lunch Qualifications:  * You must have successfully examined and have a current score on file.  If you have not already done so, you must first apply to the COUNTY CASEWORKER 1 – CHILDREN AND YOUTH (ONLINE EXAM) posting and follow the directions provided.   * PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title. * Hiring preference for this vacancy will be given to candidates who live within Northumberland County. If no eligible candidates who live within Northumberland County apply for this position, candidates who reside in Columbia, Snyder, Montour or Union counties will be considered. * You must be able to perform essential job functions.
